The hardest-throwing pitcher in Wisconsin does not wear a
Milwaukee Brewers uniform.
That's not good.
Valerio De Los Santos, a 20-year-old left-hander who has been
clocked this season at 97 mph, does, however, pitch for the Brewers'
Class A affiliate in Beloit.
That's good.
De Los Santos, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder from the Dominican
Republic, also has an above-average changeup, a much-improved slider
and a forkball that has Midwest League opponents and Beloit's
pitching coach pulling their hair out.
That's even better.
The fastball, though, is De Los Santos' best pitch and he has used
it to amass some impressive numbers with the Snappers this season.
