The hardest-throwing pitcher in Wisconsin does not wear a
Milwaukee Brewers uniform.
That's not good.
Valerio De Los Santos, a 20-year-old left-hander who has been
clocked this season at 97 mph, does, however, pitch for the Brewers'
Class A affiliate in Beloit.
That's good.
De Los Santos, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder from the Dominican
Republic, also has an above-average changeup, a much-improved slider
and a forkball that has Midwest League opponents and Beloit's
pitching coach pulling their hair out.
