Tea time may offer more than just an afternoon break.
Regular, long-term drinking of black tea, along with eating fruit,
may offer protection against strokes, according to a study in a
recent issue of the American Medical Association's Archives of
Internal Medicine.
At the same time, a researcher at the University of Wisconsin in
Madison, says dark beer, in addition to black tea, can keep the
heart's arteries from clogging.
In past research, John D. Folts, professor of medicine and
director of the UW medical school's Coronary Thrombosis Research and
Prevention Laboratory, found that dark wines and even grape juice
may help prevent clogged arteries.
