As recently reported in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Wisconsin Humane Society is faced with an urgent need to replace an aging and obsolete facility.

After considerable research and discussion with donors, it is clear that sufficient private funds are not available to build a joint facility for Humane Society services and government-mandated animal control.
