It's almost as though the New York Knicks went on Oprah Winfrey's show and got a makeover.

Or maybe it was a re-makeover, because quite frankly, the new- look Knicks look rather familiar.

Under new coach Jeff Van Gundy, they are using the same formula Pat Riley used to average 55.7 victories over the last four seasons and reach the National Basketball Association Finals in 1994. Don Nelson took over for Riley at the outset of this season, but he never fit in too well with this veteran-laden team and was fired March 8.
