From his grade school kitchen to the prestigious American Academy
of Chefs, Gregg Wozniak has come a long way.
Wozniak, executive chef at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.
for nearly 14 years, was among 35 chefs from around the country and
Canada to be inducted recently into the academy, the honorary
society of the American Culinary Federation.
He received a gold medal and certificate during a black-tie dinner
in San Antonio, Texas. The dinner capped the national convention of
the American Culinary Federation, which has about 25,000 members.
Wozniak is only the second Milwaukee chef to be accepted into the
academy. Knut Apitz, executive chef and owner of Grenadier's, 747
