The whereabouts of a man wanted in the shootings of his estranged
wife and two others remain unknown, and there are no plans to call in
the FBI to launch a nationwide search for him, authorities said
Friday.
"He could be anywhere," Door County Chief Deputy Gary Bies said.
Timothy LePire, 34, of Sturgeon Bay, is accused of shooting his
estranged wife, Michelle LePire, and a couple with whom she was
staying in Kewaunee County. The three were treated and released.
Door County sheriff's officials had gone to LePire's home three
times before the Saturday shootings to try to serve him with a
summons to attend a hearing on Michelle LePire's request for a
restraining order, but he was already ...
