Those all-too-recent seasons when a retread like Sanjay Beach or
has-beens like Mark Clayton and Mark Ingram had to start for the
Green Bay Packers' receiving corps are long gone.
An abundance of weapons at wide receiver and tight end await
Green Bay's opponents in 1996. Sterling Sharpe is almost forgotten
as the Packers have stockpiled receiving talent to rival the National
Football League's finest groups: San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Dallas,
Detroit and Minnesota.
But the Packers are greedy. Most teams are.
Developments that enabled the Packers to re-sign tight ends Mark
Chmura and Keith Jackson when some fans feared they might lose them
