Ian Baker-Finch was a sure bet to become one of golf's superstars.
That's what everybody was saying after he won the 1991 British Open,
and there was no reason to think otherwise.
He came from the same part of the globe in Queensland, Australia,
as a couple of other major championship winners, Greg Norman and
Wayne Grady.
He had a textbook swing, a glowing smile and a personality that
would translate into plenty of off-the-course opportunities. Now,
just five years after his greatest triumph, he has virtually no
game.
