Article: 2 businesses to buy city land in Menomonee Valley Carson Pirie Scott, Santoro Corp. would employ about 75 people

Two businesses plan to buy vacant, city-owned land and bring about 75 jobs to Milwaukee's Menomonee Valley industrial area, Mayor John Norquist said.

Santoro Corp. a landscape, maintenance and snow removal service plans to consolidate its operations from Franklin and Big Bend to land at 1205 W. Mount Vernon Ave., just south of Marquette University.

Santoro Corp. expects to hire 48 new workers within three years after building its 7,000-square-foot site, said President Joseph Santoro. "Our company is growing," Santoro said.
