Article: Smaller car lot rejected while convention lot OK'd Panel endorses creating 370 parking spaces near Wisconsin Center

Milwaukee's City Plan Commission Monday rejected a proposed 65- car parking lot on N. 7th St. downtown because there are too many lots in the area, then approved a 370-car lot two blocks away, for the new convention center.

The lot that was approved, by a 5-0 vote, would offer parking for events at the new Wisconsin Center and other facilities operated by the Wisconsin Center District, such as the Arena.
