It's the pride of Fourth of July picnics and summer family
gatherings.
It's a childhood memory made with a pinch of this and handful of
that. In your mind, it's the best you've ever tasted.
Potato salad is many things to many people. In fact, it's 440
different things to the 440 readers ages twentysomething to
ninetysomething who enthusiastically dished up their recipes by
mail, fax or hand delivery for our Spudtacular Salads Contest.
Our top prize winner is Ruth Schultz, a 73-year-old
great-grandmother from Milwaukee. About two years ago, Schultz
tossed together ingredients from her family's favorite salads
Waldorf and potato to create Waldorf Potato Salad for a picnic.
