In a way, Don Winze's life has been like a table tennis match that
keeps ending in a draw.
He tirelessly promotes the sport, but his efforts have not been a
smashing success.
Winze has held table tennis clinics, appeared at schools, created
his own table tennis home page on the World Wide Web and even
enlisted the help of a table tennis robot.
"Other sports have just dominated the American culture," he said.
"Nobody teaches it in the schools. I'm burned out. I've tried doing
it for 20 years without any results."
Although he sounds frustrated, Winze, a New Berlin graphic arts
