The Republican and Democrat running in the 8th Senate District
view many of the same issues as crucial in this year's campaign but
see them from different angles.
The third candidate says he is running because he believes the
major parties have lost sight of government's major job, defending
the Constitution.
Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) is being challenged by Randy
Nash, a Democrat from Whitefish Bay, and Tim Gallert, a member of
the U.S. Taxpayers party from Germantown.
Darling, 52, a former teacher and marketing director, served in
the Assembly until her election to the Senate in 1992.
Nash, 42, is a lawyer and an adjunct professor at Marquette
