Article: Pressure-treated wood safe if it is used sensibly

Q: We are planning to build a large deck on the back of our new house but are in a quandary about what to use to build it.

Friends have given us articles from gardening organization publications and other sources which sound dire warnings about pressure-treated wood. These articles state emphatically that the chemicals are harmful to the environment, people - particularly children and pets.
