Biospherics Inc. of Beltsville won a $12 million contract from
the National Park Service to establish a toll-free phone number
service that will enable park visitors nationwide to make camping
and tour reservations.
Advanced information technology will be used to connect 25
national parks throughout the country to the reservation center.
Tourists will be able to make reservations up to three months in
advance.
Bisopherics, which specializes in federal and state
information call centers, provides telecommunications and database
management information systems.
Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. of Baltimore won an $18 million
