Armed with a court ruling that says Slinger High School was placed
in an incompatible athletic conference, district administrator
Joseph Wikrent says he plans to call state athletic officials today
seeking a compromise.
The Slinger district asked Washington County Circuit Court to
block its placement in the so-called Conference A, part of a
wholesale realignment of athletic conferences in southeastern
Wisconsin by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Judge Richard Becker ruled Tuesday in favor of Slinger.
"This was not a decision that the board made lightly," Wikrent
