The Atlanta Braves are what the New York Yankees used to be, long,
long ago: the most dominant team in baseball.
Now, after a 15-year dry spell, the longest in franchise history,
the Yankees are back in the World Series again. It is something
completely new to this generation of pin stripers, while the Braves
are making their fourth Series appearance in the last five
post-seasons. On the surface, the strengths of one club seem to
negate the strengths of the other. The Braves' starting pitching is
the best there is, yet New York's bullpen has been its ticket to the
World Series.
Thus it will be up to Atlanta's starters to keep the Yankees from
getting a lead and turning it over to ...
