Article: Robert Bourassa, Ex-Canadian premier

Robert Bourassa, a foe of separatism who was premier of Quebec during some of its most tumultuous political crises, died Tuesday of cancer. He was 63.

Bourassa died at Notre-Dame Hospital, where he had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma in June. It was his third bout with skin cancer since 1990.
