Article: R.W. Houser to division All Midwest Security employees to be retained

In order to focus on its core businesses, R.W. Houser Inc. will sell its property and casualty division to a regional insurance firm in Columbus, Ohio, for an undisclosed amount of money.

A letter of intent has been signed to sell Midwest Security Insurance Co., Onalaska, to State Automobile Mutual Insurance Co., said Ronald W. Houser, president of R.W. Houser Inc., the casualty company's Onalaska-based parent.

With 300 employees, R.W. Houser also includes life insurance, managed care and employee benefit operations in other subsidiaries in Onalaska. All Midwest Security employees will be retained in the switch, according to a ...
