Like Cinderella the day after the big ball, Green Bay reveled
Monday in the glory of the Packers' National Football Conference
championship.
This town is downright giddy with victory.
The stench of stale beer still hung in the air Monday afternoon
and the parking lot was littered with crushed beer cans at the 50
Yardline, a Green Bay sports tavern that stands just a long spiral
away from Lambeau Field.
Hangers-on, desperate to keep the buzz of Sunday's big victory
alive as long as possible, sucked on beer glasses and smoked
cigarettes as they replayed the thrills of the big game in their
minds.
And they were atwitter about the crew from ABC-TV's "Good Morning
America" that stopped by ...
