County Executive F. Thomas Ament said Wednesday it is "ludicrous"
for Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. to want to sell its beer at the
Wisconsin Center.
"Anheuser-Busch has made it very difficult to buy a Miller, Point,
Old Style, Leinenkugel's, Sprecher or any other Wisconsin-brewed beer
in its hometown venues, yet it has been whining for weeks about not
being able to sell its products in ours," Ament wrote to City
Comptroller W. Martin Morics, chairman of the Wisconsin Center
Board's Finance and Personnel Committee.
The committee will consider today Anheuser-Busch's request to be
allowed access to the Wisconsin Center.
The Wisconsin Center does not now sell out-of-state beers at its
facilities, ...
