You can take the team away from the coach, but separating the
coach from the man is a much more difficult task.
If you're as lucky as Eli Crogan, coach and team eventually meet
again.
Crogan is the boys basketball coach at Beaver Dam Wayland Academy.
For those who know him, however, he is forever a Watertown Gosling.
He spent 22 seasons as that school's coach, winning seven
Wisconsin Little Ten Conference championships during his final 12
seasons. As reward for his efforts, he was fired in July 1994.
The move drew an overwhelming amount of attention. The Milwaukee
