Dick Clark has been rockin' the entertainment industry since the
earliest days of rock 'n' roll.
Today, his Dick Clark Productions has 700 employees turning out
many of the music and awards specials that dot the TV schedule,
including his "New Year's Rockin' Eve," the Golden Globe awards and
tonight's American Music Awards.
At 67, Clark could retire comfortably and let a successor take
control of his company's day-to-day operations. But he says he's
not ready to hang it up any time soon.
"Starting right before Christmas," Clark says, "we get into the
New Year's show, the Golden Globes, the American Music Awards and
