The next time you're strolling along the west side of N. Water
St., a block or so north of Wisconsin Ave., pause for a moment in
front of the storefronts at 759-777 N. Water St. You may be
pleasantly surprised.
On display in the windows of these enduring examples of late 19th-
and early 20th-century commercial architecture are artworks by five
Milwaukee artists: Nicholas Frank, Mark Lawson, Kevin Muente, Erin
O'Hara and Paul Druecke.
It's all part of "Art-Street-Window," an ongoing, citywide project
aimed at utilizing otherwise empty properties as venues for public
art. The inaugural exhibit, organized by artist / entrepreneur
Druecke, runs through Jan. 31.
