A plane crash that killed four men in Manitowoc County was caused when one plane was sucked into the other and brushed across the tail section, investigators said Tuesday.

Paint transfers were found all over the tail sections of both aircraft, said David Bowling, lead investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board.

A refurbished DC-3 and a Beechcraft Bonanza collided in midair Saturday afternoon during a picture-taking mission.
