The Village of Germantown is due to be reimbursed between nearly $6 million and nearly $7 million from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.

The money is owed for a sewer interceptor the village constructed in 1986 and 1987 to connect with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District system.

Germantown agreed to construct the interceptor and pay for it with the promise that the sewerage district would reimburse the village when the so-called "sewer wars" between the district and the suburban coalition FLOW were settled.
