These days, no one screams for ordinary ice cream. Ask any kid.
Given the choice between a favored flavor in the freezer or some
novelty peddled by an ice cream vendor, the kid will race for the
funny-looking truck in the street.
Premium ice creams, frozen yogurts and sorbets available in
supermarkets take the work out of making frozen treats. And many
treats require no cooking or baking, just some assembly of items
ladyfingers, pie crusts, cookies, puff pastries, dessert sauces
from the supermarket.
