You could say Jean and Jeff Hencsik dropped anchor in South
Milwaukee when they built their home five years ago.
But that would be too easy.
So, let's just say that although a 10-ton crane was one of the
tools used to landscape their front lawn, the two definitely aren't
two knots short of a full sail. They are, however, nautically
challenged.
Case in point:
Painted battleship gray and accented with a looping chain that
Jeff says is half the size of the original, a six-ton anchor looms
over a planter of delicate flowers and two ceramic ducks.
The anchor was salvaged from a sunken battleship that almost made
it back to port in Maine after a World War II skirmish.
