Five years ago, virtually no one in Wisconsin had ever heard of
Kiln, Miss.
Today, it's nationally known as the hometown of Green Bay Packers
superstar quarterback Brett Favre and has become something of a
tourist destination.
The Milwaukee Brewers would love for the same thing to happen to
Hartselle, Ala.
What's that? Never heard of Hartselle?
It's the hometown of Brewers rookie right-hander Steve Woodard,
who produced one of the more amazing major-league debuts of the
century Monday night when he struck out 12 and gave up one hit in
eight innings en route to a 1-0 victory over Roger Clemens and the
Toronto Blue Jays.
