When linebacker Seth Joyner steps on the field for the first time,
he will not be viewed as a savior for the Green Bay Packers
defense.
He won't be called on to make the majority of big plays the way
Reggie White was when he first joined the team in 1993.
And he won't be counted on to make the Packers' defense the best
in the National Football League.
"I think we were considered that before Seth got here," safety
LeRoy Butler said.
Joyner's contribution, according to veterans who have followed his
11-year career, will be a physical presence and intensity that the
defense has lacked at times. Though not the biggest player at his
