Wisconsin might be one of the fattest states in the nation, but
fast food isn't the reason, according to a new study that compares
the growth of American obesity with the growth of the fast food
industry.
In several past studies, Wisconsin has ranked as one of the most
obese states.
In general, obesity in America has increased over the last several
decades.
In Wisconsin, nearly 37.5% of men are obese, compared with 29.5%
nationally. About 30% of Wisconsin women are obese, compared with
27% nationally.
