Next Friday, the eve of opening day of Wisconsin's gun deer
hunting season, the residents of Tomahawk in Lincoln County will
invite visitors to a free venison feed down on Main St. from 11 in
the morning until 3 in the afternoon.
The townsfolk will be cooking up venison burgers on outdoor grills
and serving them with chips and soft drinks.
It's all on the house as they say. And you are invited to "pig
out," as the saying goes.
It is, we are told, Tomahawk's way of thanking deer hunters for
coming to that town's neck of the woods.
This deal in Tomahawk is bigger and better and more extensive than
what other towns do in the north during deer season, but it is,
