Vacationers with a yen for sleeping at homes once owned by historic figures can rent Henry Ford's woodsy getaway here in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan.

That's if you can make do with just nine bedrooms, six bathrooms, a dining room for 16 guests and a front porch that gives the impression of being only a hair smaller than all of Rhode Island.

Ford used the retreat to entertain Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone and other American luminaries from the early 1900s.
