Proposals for developing 18 single-family homes, a neighborhood
park and a light manufacturing area on 36 acres bordering the
municipal public works yard were recommended Monday by a city
committee.
The Joint Committee on the Preparation of a Comprehensive City
Plan, which includes aldermen, plan commission members, a park board
member and Mayor Maricolette Walsh, will forward two recommendations
to the Common Council.
The first recommendation is that the southern 18 acres be divided
into separate lots for light manufacturing.
The area is bound by Walnut St. on the north, the public works
