The Sentry food store at Juneau Village will close Nov. 8, signs
throughout the store advised customers Friday.
Representatives of store management and the store's corporate
owner, Fleming Cos., could not be reached for comment late Friday.
The signs in the store also advised that the store would close at 9
p.m. beginning Monday and continuing until the final closing date.
The store's previous closing hour had been 11 p.m.
Area residents, many of whom live in nearby apartment complexes,
expressed dismay but little surprise that the store would close.
Charles Bentley, a resident of the Convent Hill housing project,
1325 N. Jefferson St., said a new Pick 'n Save store at 605 E. Lyon
