On May 12, 1992, Sen. Herb Kohl and the Milwaukee Bucks held a
news conference to announce the hiring of one Joseph Michael
Dunleavy as coach and general manager of the National Basketball
Association franchise.
Almost four years later, Dunleavy was relieved of his coaching
duties. Earlier this year on April 26, to be exact Dunleavy
resigned as GM, having accepted an estimated $2 million buyout of
the $5 million remaining on his three-year contract.
Why is all of this now being exhumed?
Because Kohl is making Dunleavy sue him for the settlement.
Because of a whispering campaign accusing Dunleavy of tampering
with the Portland Trail Blazers while under contract to the Bucks.
