You're in San Diego, a half-continent away from a decent fish fry
or a respectable dish of frozen custard. Fear not.
Other Wisconsinites have managed to work their way around the
culture shock. You can, too.
In some ways, San Diego is a lot like Milwaukee, says Divina
Infusino, a Kenosha native who left the shores of Lake Michigan for
the Pacific Ocean breezes 13 years ago. Infusino works as a
national editor for a web-based city guide in San Diego.
Just as Milwaukee often plays second fiddle to Chicago, San Diego
is often cast as the poor stepsister to Los Angeles.
Like Milwaukee, San Diego is rich in cultural diversity.
