Three candidates vying for two seats on the School Board offer a wide spectrum of experience, from the current board president to a man making his first bid for public office.

In between those two extremes is Therese Travia, who was elected to the board in 1994, then lost in her bid for re-election last year.

The two winners in the April 7 election will serve three-year terms and play integral roles in determining what the school district does about its aging middle school.
