Clarifying a law that requires doctors to give patients treatment
options and the risks involved, the Appeals Court said Tuesday that a
physician should have complied when a woman about to give birth asked
that the baby be delivered by Caesarean section.
In a separate case, the 3rd District Court of Appeals also ruled
Tuesday that the American Indian nickname and logo at Mosinee High
School does not discriminate against American Indians.
The judges upheld a state agency's decision by ruling that there
was not persistent and pervasive racial harassment at the school
because of the logo.
In the Caesarean section case, the appellate court overturned a
decision by an Oneida County judge.
