Article: DUELING VENUES Arena to take on Bradley Center With agreement ending in July, older facility ready to vie for downtown events

The 47-year-old Milwaukee Arena, spruced up and soon to be released from an agreement that at least on paper has subordinated its interests to those of the Bradley Center for the last decade, is preparing to compete with its newer, larger cousin.

Bradley Center representatives say they foresee little change, but board members of the Wisconsin Center District, which owns and operates the Arena, are looking toward a new era in which the two facilities go head to head for concerts, traveling shows and sports events.
