Article: White House moves to discredit Willey Clinton advisers release her seemingly friendly letters

The White House, shaken by Kathleen Willey's graphic description of an alleged sexual advance by President Clinton, began a broad campaign Monday to discredit her.

In a daylong effort at damage control, the White House issued a denial and released letters and phone logs designed to undermine Willey's credibility without appearing to brutalize a woman millions of Americans watched in fascination the evening before.
