Article: Marcus sues over laundry facility Lawsuit alleges consultant was to blame for size, cost of operation

Poor performance by a consultant led Marcus Corp. to build a laundry facility that was too small for the company's needs and which cost more than expected to operate, according to a Circuit Court lawsuit filed by Marcus.

Marcus hired Robach Inc., of Homewood, Ill., in September 1995 to provide consulting services on the development, construction and operation of a laundry facility to serve three Marcus hotels, according to the suit filed against Robach.

The laundry was to serve the Hilton, the Pfister and the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, according to documents attached to the suit. Under the agreement, Robach was to be paid fees up to $202,000 to prepare feasibility studies, make ...
