For three months, the Oklahoma City bombing tragedy dominated the lives of Timothy McVeigh's jurors. They studied the streets of downtown and weighed the words of witnesses and survivors.

Almost immediately after the trial in Denver, jurors and victims began corresponding. Some of them met, face to face. They became, in the words of one alternate juror, each other's heroes.
