Records on file with the state Supreme Court show that Judge
Lawrence Waddick has consistently reported that he has no pending
cases.
Reserve judges were called in last week to handle Waddick's
regular Washington County Circuit Court duties after it was
discovered that he had nine outstanding cases.
At the direction of Mark Gempeler, chief judge of the 3rd Judicial
Administrative District, Waddick has been working outside of the
courtroom to get caught up on his cases.
One of the cases dated back to the fall of 1990, and others were
several years old.
Judges are required to render decisions within 90 days of the last
relevant hearing or filing in a case or request another 90 days to ...
