Records on file with the state Supreme Court show that Judge Lawrence Waddick has consistently reported that he has no pending cases.

Reserve judges were called in last week to handle Waddick's regular Washington County Circuit Court duties after it was discovered that he had nine outstanding cases.

At the direction of Mark Gempeler, chief judge of the 3rd Judicial Administrative District, Waddick has been working outside of the courtroom to get caught up on his cases.
