Article: E. Main St. to get $3 million widening City of Waukesha project will add two lanes in effort to ease traffic congestion

Restaurateur Gino Piacentine doesn't understand why the city has to spend $3 million to convert E. Main St. from a two-lane road into a four-lane thoroughfare, complete with curbs, gutters and a grassy median.

"They can save themselves $2 million by just repaving the road and putting a stoplight at Davidson Road and Main," Piacentine said. "Oh, and the trucks. They need to get the trucks off this road."
