Heather Suhr has a chance to make history this season.
Suhr, a senior at Racine Case, joined a rather elite club last
October when she won her second straight title at the Wisconsin
Interscholastic Athletic Association state golf tournament at
University Ridge Golf Course in Verona.
Not only did she lead the Eagles to their first team title since
1988, Suhr became just the fifth golfer to win back-to-back state
titles, joining a group that includes former Madison Memorial
standout and LPGA tour member Sherri Steinhauer. Surh became the
first to accomplish the feat since Madison La Follette's Erika Brown
did it in 1989-'90.
No golfer has ever won three straight.
