A local provider of Internet programming services, sports paraphernalia and toys is suing a Danish firm in an effort to win the right to a disputed Internet domain name, according to federal court records.

Interactive Data LLC of Menomonee Falls is asking a judge to rule that its use of the "idata.com" domain name does not violate any trademark rights that I-Data International A/S of Denmark may have.

Denmark's IDI, which manufactures and markets computer printer connections for networks and mainframes, has asked Network Solutions Inc., an organization that registers domain names, to stop Interactive from using "idata.com."
