A boy convicted of shooting his father to death when he was 10 was
released from custody Wednesday over the objections of prosecutors
less than five years after the slaying shocked the community.
Rock County's youngest murderer and one of the youngest in Wisconsin
history, who is now 15, will move back with his mother and older
brother in the same home where he shot his father as the man lay on
a couch watching TV.
Carrying his pet beagle, Buster, the then 10-year-old boy walked
to the police station in April 1994, knocked on the closed lobby
window and told a detective he had just killed his father.
At the time of the slaying, Wisconsin's juvenile law did not
allow prosecutors to file ...
