Alice D., Milwaukee, sent two recipes for Lois Wichman, Dell-
wood, who wanted the recipe for a fondue made with cheddar cheese
that was once served at Captain's Steak Joynt, a restaurant once in
the Milwaukee area.
Alice D. Wrote: "I am not familiar with the fondue recipe served
at Captain's Steak Joynt, but both of these recipes are delicious."
Alice's Baked Cheese Fondue
2 cups soft bread crumbs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup grated cheddar or Swiss cheese
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1 teaspoon salt
4 eggs, separated1 loaf French bread, cut into bite-size
chunks
In saucepan, combine bread crumbs, milk, cheese and butter. Cook
