Ho-hum. Another day, another record for the Milwaukee Wave.
The Wave won its 21st consecutive regular-season home game on
Saturday at the Bradley Center, and those yawns you heard came from
5,434 fans who were less than delighted with the Montreal Impact's
drop-back strategy.
The Impact managed to keep the game scoreless in the first 30
minutes, but the Wave responded with some board-crashing tactics to
claim an 11-2 National Professional Soccer League victory.
It was far different from the last time the Wave stepped into the
Bradley Center, when it poured in 25 first-half points and finished
with a franchise-record 37 against defenseless Cleveland.
